I love the photos of women working during WWII, and it depresses me to ponder how they were all sacked at the end of the war so men could have the jobs.

It was the start of the men’s rights movement!

But seriously, those were some kick-ass women. Not that women aren’t kick-ass. They are, probably more so. I know my wife is. But just as you adjust currency for inflation when comparing values from the past; their kick-ass level adjusted for today’s standards has that era of women pretty high up the list. Don’t forget that while their husbands were away fighting and they were Stateside do jobs that a woman wasn’t biologically capable of doing, they would still have to go home and keep everything perfect.
